When workers in the Dandenong factory who make the flavours that go into your chips and soft drinks were told they had to give up their breaks and some of their sick leave in exchange for a pay rise of a few cents an hour, they balked.
But what started as negotiations with their employer, International Flavours and Fragrances, ended up with them occupying the factory and a social media campaign that would bring the company to heel.
